About Us
Who We Are
The Regional Early Childhood Collaborative (RECC) is a partnership of small towns in Eastern Connecticut- Ledyard, Norwich, Griswold, Lisbon, Voluntown, and Preston - united by a shared commitment to children and families during the critical years of life. We work together to build a strong foundation for lifelong learning, community engagement, and equitable access to early care and education.
At the heart of our work is a mission to advocate for the well-being and development of children from birth to age five by fostering resilience, promoting best practices among educators, expanding access to essential resources, and uplifting the diverse voices of families and providers throughout our communities.
Our vision is that every child and family will have equitable access to high-quality early childhood education and support. We are a trusted hub for collaboration, where providers, families, and partners come together to share knowledge, champion inclusive practices, and shape a future where all children thrive.
Together, we are building a more connected, informed, and supportive early childhood system - one that celebrates families, values diversity, and strengthens the fabric of our communities.
